Many visitors enjoy Virginia Beach, as it is a relaxed coastal destination. Situated right along the coast where Chesapeake Bay reached the Atlantic Ocean. It is a favorite among vacationers and has been for quite some time. This is partly due to its proximity to many of the larger cities nearby. Making it an accessible destination for those wanting a beachy escape - even just for a weekend getaway.

First Landing

But also because of the town has a rather unique link to the nation's history with the nearby location of the First Landing State Park. This Park commemorates the arrival of the Jamestown colonists from England that happened in 1607. It's a wonderful park around 3,000 acres to explore, hike and canoe. With a maritime forest, marshlands and the beachfront stretching along shore.

3 Mile Boardwalk

There is a local culinary scene that is flourishing within this vibrant coastal city. As well as terrific arts and entertainment that are sure to keep the whole family busy the whole year round. Couple this with the city's 3-mile boardwalk lining its oceanfront and visitors are set for a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation.
